Any producer wanting to purchase cutting tools and machinery from a distributor expects the best possible consulting service, product quality as well as a compre-hensive after sales service. HAHN+KOLB, which is rich in tradition and which is one of the leading system suppliers for tools in the German-speaking and European area, is an example of this.

For example, at the company Sautner Zerspanungstechnik, which uses a tool solution from HAHN+KOLB – provided with a CemeCon ALU CC coating – the machining time could be reduced by 15% when machining aluminum.

For example, the company Ingolstädter Fräszentrum GmbH attains through ALU CC coated milling cutters used to process model prototypes made of aluminum for the automotive industry, a significantly longer tool life and better surfaces compared to tools coated conventionally. Alexander Wagner: “One of our tools at Sautner Zerspanungstechnik has made history. At this company the machining time for processing of aircraft aluminum 3.1354/3.4365 was to be reduced. Instead of a conventional TiAlN coating we used an optimised CemeCon coating. The milling cutters now have a significantly longer tool life and machining time is cut by 15%.

Inka Harrand: „We provide intensive sup-port for dealers like HAHN+KOLB. For example through presentations on occasion of the technology seminar ‘Milling of aluminium and high alloy steel’ at the company Hermle. Here and also on other occasions coating specialists present the enormous possibilities offered by high-performance coatings. From this again the tool dealers benefit.”
