CCDia®TopSharp

The cutting edge must satisfy very special requirements when separating plastic or metal film or when delicately machining AlSi alloys. The solution is a thin, nanocrystalline diamond coating, which is re-sharpened on planar hard metal tools and also smoothed. The combination of diamond, the hardest material known to man, and the extremely small edge rounding (< 1 µm) increased the lifetime of cutting blades by 1,500% when processing plastic film, for example.
