The CemeCon Executive Board reorganizes

May 2022. Strong personalities from within the company take over the tasks. The company remains in family ownership. The Supervisory Board and Executive Board have planned and prepared these changes for a long time.

Sustainability as innovation driver

Since the founding of CemeCon more than 35 years ago, the founder, owner and until recently CEO Toni Leyendecker has stood for the spirit of innovation and for the visionary power of the company. He transformed diamond and PVD coating technologies from what was then an experimental field to today's industry standard. Today, CemeCon stands as the world market leader in the diamond field and, at the latest since the introduction of HiPIMS, as a consistent further development of sputter coating technology, also as the technology leader in the PVD field.

We have the right team, the right technology and experience values from over 35 years of coating business. That is a very solid basis!

Beate Hüttermann

Toni Leyendecker is now moving from the operating business to the Supervisory Board, where he will take over as Chairman, upon reaching retirement age. He will be replaced by Dr.-Ing. Oliver Lemmer as CEO. He has been an employee from the very beginning, a companion and has always been responsible for the technological excellence of CemeCon. At his side on the board are Bernd Hermeler as the new COO and Dr.-Ing. Beate Hüttermann, responsible for sales and marketing. Bernd Hermeler and Beate Hüttermann have also been shaping and developing the company for decades. The interaction between all players is practiced, they share the same goals and continue the success story.

For us at CemeCon and also for our customers, it's a positive development: with the rejuvenation of the Executive Board, there is further dynamism and at the same time Toni remains a valuable constant with his commitment to the Supervisory Board.

Times are dynamic, markets sometimes opaque. The responsibility to more than 320 colleagues worldwide and also to the owner family is great. So the new Board of Management starts with a high level of motivation and an excellent starting position, but also with a great deal of respect for the new tasks.

The special cohesion and the high level of identification of the people at CemeCon, coupled with the passion for technological masterpieces, not only provide the Executive Board with guarantees for success. Customers have always benefited from the company's willingness to go the "extra mile". This leads to solutions that are flexible, that provide answers today to the questions and to the market requirements of tomorrow.
